 1. This is a new 47 Ford 2dr Coupe. That is everything is new from the ground up. It has about 1200 miles on it. Let me tell you about it.
 2. It was given to my brother Wilbur by our great Uncle from Missouri in the early 1960's. As a young man in high school he tinkered with it a bit and rebuilt the flat head that was in it. He was quite proud of it but never really finished it the way he would've liked and unfortunately he never got the opportunity to do so. My Dad gave it to me in the mid 70's. I vowed to finish it.
 3. After starting and stopping several times I completed the task of making it a dependable car, something Henry Ford was never able to do, and finally got a Chevy drive train installed. First, however, I removed the body and replaced every body bushing and bolt in sight.
 4. I bought a 74 Nova 2dr and used its front end for the stub to accommodate the new 350 target engine and 350 turbo transmission. I was then able to use the factory power steering, exhaust, air conditioning, etc.. Also had a five-core radiator especially made to eliminate any over-heating problems and also fit the alterations that were made to support the front clip assembly.
 5. All the front end parts are standard for the Nova although I did have a frame shop shorten the oil springs in front to make it set right before they aligned the frame. So all the ball joints, bearings, brakes, tie rod ends, etc.. If it was replaceable, its new.
 6. The transmission is a 350 turbo as I mentioned - fully rebuilt with an added cooler. Custom made drive shaft that connects a newly overhauled 73 Nova rear end.
 7. Next I had all new aluminun alloy wheels with a lock on each and a set of new tires.
 8. Back to the body: All the side windows are custom fit and tempered grey tint. The back quarter glass pivot was removed and installed as a stationary unit. The back glass is the original. The windshield is a v-butt with the center support removed. All the front door window channels were replaced and power door locks and windows were installed. As you can see all the door, hood, and trunk hardware was removed and customized. It has a power trunk lock and is fully carpeted and upohlstered with a seperate compartment for the spare tire.
 9. Now for the inside. I used a Chevy Citation tilt-wheel for the steering. A Ron Francis wiring harness with new Stewart Werner guages. The speedo and tach (replaced the clock) are custom made to be used with the 3-piece chrome dash assembly. A two-speed heavy duty windshield wiper motor replaced Henry's awsome vacuum packed never ready to work wiper motor. As you know if you ever were in a rainstorm with one of these - you just spent the night or waited till it stopped raining.
10. The stereo is a JVC with CD and 4 Pioneer speakers. It has a pair of Astro Van bucket seats for the front, a rounded Mercury Cougar back seat and a full set of four seat belts. The interior is a two-tone maroon and gray with custom made arm rests and a medium gray carpeting.
11. That's pretty much it! If there are questions or comments you'd like to raise, send me e-mail: info@windshieldsplus.net.
